Pegasus Pipes & Drums werd in 2001 opgericht in Voorthuizen (gem. Barneveld), met als doel muzikale ondersteuning te geven aan de herdenkingen van belangrijke militaire gebeurtenissen die in de regio rondom Barneveld plaatsvonden tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Pegasus Pipes & Drums is een doedelzakband in Schotse traditie. De band heeft in de afgelopen jaren prachtige optredens mogen verzorgen bij uiteenlopende gelegenheden. Van de jaarlijkse optredens in Normandië ter gelegenheid van herdenkingen van D-Day, de optredens rondom Ede en Oosterbeek in het kader van de slag om Arnhem, tot het jaarlijkse Bevrijdingsdefilé in Wageningen. The band was founded in 2001 in Voorthuizen, the Netherlands (Municipality of Barneveld), with the goal to musically guide the commemorations of historic events from the Second World War in the Barneveld region. Events such as the commemorations regarding Operation Market Garden. The band has performed at beautiful events during the past few years.
