Pelty

Pelty is a Milan-based start up that developed the first Bluetooth speaker powered by fire. Our technology is based on the so-called Peltier Effect, a physical phenomenon discovered in 1834 that allows thermal energy to be transformed into electricity. PELTY is an extremely functional and elegant device. It is made from ceramic and wood with a classy oil lamp fueled by bioethanol which powers the whole mechanism. In just a few seconds, the heat generated by the small flame starts the device which can then be controlled remotely by a smartphone or a tablet through a Bluetooth connection to play music, select tracks and regulate volume. PELTY has a high audio quality, perfectly matching both entertainment and relax requirements and can be used both indoor and outdoor. PELTY is an ecofriendly product. It doesn’t need any battery charger or power cables as it relies only on heat from the device’s own flame as its power source. The lamp is rechargeable and it is optimised for bioethanol.
