Penderyn Distillery was the first distillery in Wales in over 100 years. Established in 2000 after a chat in a local pub, Penderyn has won over 100 international Gold and Master Medals, and exports to over 50 countries. Our HQ is in Penderyn, Brecon Beacons, and we have two other distilleries in Llandudno (May 2021) and Swansea (opening summer of 2023) Tours and Masterclasses are available at all three distilleries.
Penderyn use an unique Faraday Still, and now have three of these, which create a new make spirit at around 92%, which means Penderyn's whiskies are light, fruity and flavoursome. They also use a pair of lantern stills to experiment with new innovative whiskies.
Penderyn also produces Brecon Gin, Brecon FIVE Vodka, Siddiqui Rums and Merlyn Cream Liqueur.
