PEO was established in early 2019 by Randy Cohen, Harvard Business School finance professor and Jean-Louis Lelogeais, Co-Founder of SVP Global, a distressed debt investment fund with almost $20 billion AUM, to build a Private Equity Liquid Alternatives platform. PEO has developed a proprietary model that seeks to deliver excess or comparable returns, with lower volatility, as compared to public equity markets, by emulating certain investment themes of traditional private equity (“PE”) funds focused on leveraged buyouts (“PE funds”).
PEO is a leader in the emerging liquid alternatives Private Equity Alternatives space. PEO is a non-discretionary sub-advisor to Mackenzie Investments, a Canadian asset manager with almost CAD $200 Billion in assets, for the Private Equity Replication mutual fund launched in December 2020 with over CAD $15 million.
