In 2021, Pepperdine University was awarded a $10 million grant from the W. M. Keck Foundation to strengthen research and teaching methods in the field of Data Science & AI. As a result, The Keck Institute for Data Science was created with the mission to establish an interdisciplinary, collaborative research environment for educating students about capability in the field of Data Science & AI.
