PEPR Recyclage brings together public research laboratories dedicated to the recycling, recyclability and re-use of materials (plastics, strategic metals, composite materials, textiles and papers/cardboards).
We develop systemic analyses of recycling, i.e., disciplinary research, but also interdisciplinary research between the so-called “hard” sciences (physics, chemistry, engineering, toxicology, etc.) and social and human sciences (economics, sociology, political or legal sciences, etc.). Cross-disciplinary axes are also deployed on several specific subjects: batteries, new technologies (wind power, H2, photovoltaics), WEEE, household waste and the “Recycling and Reuse Society”.
Over 70 research teams throughout France are involved, including teams from CNRS, CEA, IFPEN, INRAE, BRGM and universities. Our research network is part of a national acceleration strategy supported by the France 2030 program.
