Perfect Form Physio is a Physiotherapy clinic in Surry Hills, Sydney, devoted to the care and education of dancers. We aim to “treat human beings, not human bodies” and provide private, one hour long, one-on-one consultations that allow us to identify and correct the true cause of any complaint, rather than just a band-aid symptomatic solution.
Many of the injuries that plague young dancers could have been prevented, and often occur due to minor technical faults, repeated over and over again. Our highly skilled therapists are specifically trained to pick up all of the contributing factors to any injury to get you back dancing better than ever.
Therapists from Perfect Form Physio are world renown for their work in advocating for dancers health, and have created a series of Dance Teacher Training courses to educate Dance Teachers worldwide on injury prevention. The Level 1 course has been delivered to over 500 teachers from 21 different countries, and this number continues to grow.
Founder and Owner Lisa Howell has been featured on the 7:30pm Report, broadcast nationally on the ABC in regards to her concerns on the growing number of injuries in young dancers related to over-stretching. Her team work tirelessly to advocate safe methods of achieving optimal mobility in dancers of all ages and genre.
