Performing Medicine

Performing Medicine is a sector leader in arts based approaches to professional development in health and social care contexts We run an award-winning programme of events, courses and workshops for health professionals and students. Our practical workshops are led by inspiring artists using techniques drawn from theatre, dance and the visual arts. We create supportive environments where participants can rehearse the skills necessary to thrive at work. Our public events create dialogue across arts and health, and our research is frequently sought for use in advocacy and policy change. Since 2001 we have worked with more than 14,000 health professionals and students and we have long-standing partnerships with NHS Trusts and Higher Education Institutions across the UK, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust and Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
