◦ Strengths: Simple, cost-efficient, detects multiple gases, rough quantification
◦ Disadvantages: Must fly very close to the gas source which can be in the hazard zone
▪ OGI Camera (Sale): IR camera which detects certain wavelengths of light that are absorbed by gases
▫ Ventus OGI: Optical Gas Imaging Camera
◦ Strengths: Detects multiple gases
◦ Disadvantages: Requires optimal environmental and gas thermal conditions for a detection, the camera must be stationary (hovering), expensive
▪ Wide Swath (Rental): Wide area sensing area to 100m from a distance of 150m (Medium-UAV).
▫ SWIR: 10kg Short Wave Infrared
◦ Strengths: Wide measurement path, localization and quantification, detects several gases
◦ Disadvantages: Expensive except for large, detailed, or scientific projects
