At Persephone, we harness the power of science and nature to create trusted products that reimagine infant and patient health. Co-founded in 2017 by synthetic biologists Stephanie Culler, Ph.D. and Steve Van Dien, Ph.D., our work is grounded in research, from decoding the infant microbiome to developing next generation probiotics and disease-preventing therapeutics. This includes our new synbiotic for infants and toddlers, designed to support gut and immune health from the very beginning. In December 2021, emerging insights revealed an opportunity to address infant gut dysbiosis, a condition increasingly linked to adverse long-term health outcomes. Persephone became dedicated to solving this global health crisis, leading to the launch of the My Baby Biome study in August 2022.
