PEA stands for Personal Effectiveness Association, a certified 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization designed to support and improve individual mental health through exercise and knowledge of fitness and nutrition. Whether you are an athlete, or have never been to the gym, this is the place for you.
As high-schoolers, we've noticed there are limited opportunities for teenagers and young adults to address anxieties and everyday worries. Local students are invited to join us as we go on runs, do yoga, and explore various bodyweight exercises together while communicating about whatever may be on your mind in this safe environment.
Our Mission
is to expose teens to the world of fitness,
help teens better their mental health through exercise and nutrition,
spread awareness for medical literature around physical activity and increased self-esteem, reduced anxiety, improved mood, and released hormones such as cortisol, prolactin, growth hormone, and testosterone,
and most importantly, create healthy long-lasting habits (while having fun).
