Personal Genetics is a private medical genetics center established in 2011, with an investment worth more than 2 million Euros, which provides to its customers genetic information in a responsible manner - medically and ethically.
Personal Genetics expertise includes: molecular biology, cytogenetics, arrayCGH and Next Generation sequencing.
The expertise of the molecular biology department is divided into three categories of tests: diagnosis tests, genetic predisposition tests and pharmacogenetic tests.
The cytogenetics department provides advanced cytogenetic diagnosis both for the prenatal and postnatal diagnosis. The prenatal diagnosis is based on samples from chorionic villus, amniotic fluid, fetal blood, as well as lost pregnancies. The postnatal diagnosis for newborns, children or adults is performed on samples from peripheral blood for constitutional chromosomal disorders and on samples from haematogenous bone marrow for various types of leukemia.
Personal Genetics' laboratory is accredited ISO 15189:2007.
Due to its specialists team's activity, technologic line and facilities, the center assures an advanced and responsible genetic diagnosis, covering various medical areas: gynecology, pediatric, oncology, hematology, neurology, ophthalmology and endocrhinology.
