Milan based IULM University joins the Enactus Italy network for the first time in its history. this union gave birth to PersonalMente, a project lead by a group of students that aims to improve the quality of education in Italy by helping other students to use a special tool: their mind. The Italian education system provides for learning through a singular standardized method for all. However, the mind of each individual has unique characteristics that are reflected above all in the learning process throughout life. Each of us prefers a particular strategy when it comes to learning and remembering: one person uses images, another words and yet another sounds. This is precisely the aim of PersonalMente: to help students aged 11 to 16 to understand their minds in order to facilitate their learning paths. How do we do that? We are in contact with young neuropsychologists, with whose help we can carry out psychometric tests that allow psychological screening of the subjects so that the professional can give feedback on the person's mind. On the one hand there are professionals from the industry, on the other hand there is the need of very young students to understand themselves better. PersonalMente is the reality that makes this encounter possible. It brings this idea and its methodology to Italian schools and ensures that as many people as possible are able to approach their studies with awareness and self-knowledge.
