Personal Trust Microfinance Bank is a microfinance bank operating in Lagos, Nigeria. The Bank was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to operate as a state microfinance bank in year 2014. Formerly known as Personal Trust Savings and Loans, it was first registered in 1993 and operated as a mortgage bank until its conversion in 2014. Following the enabling framework by the Central Bank of Nigeria in respect of microfinance banks, the Bank’s parent company First Ally Capital Limited acquired the extant mortgage bank and converted it into a microfinance bank in October 2014 with a share capital of about N632 million. Accordingly, Personal Trust Microfinance commenced its business of catering to the unbanked and underbanked public. The focus of the Bank is provision of microfinance services to individuals, small and medium scale enterprises. Ultimately, the objective is to grow the Bank to a National Microfinance Bank.
