PT. PDC was established on 11th September 1981 as the first national company that focused on providing offshore drilling service in Indonesia with first priority by using domestic equipment and promoting technology transfer of offshore drilling to national personnel.
Due to the change of external business environment, PT. PDC shifted its business line from offshore drilling to the service provider of Accommodation Work Barge (AWB) and Catering.
This company is mostly owned by PT. Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) as one of subsidiary company of Pertamina (Persero) since January 2013.
In 2014, the company made a business diversification related to onshore drilling supporting service to support the operational of Rig PT. Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (PDSI) like Labour Supply, Heavy Truck Equipment (HTE), Catering and Light Vehicle for Passanger.
Now a days PT. PDC become one of the best services support in energy industries in Indonesia
