The Perth Orchestra Project (POP) was founded by Izaak Wesson in 2017. POP seeks to foster Western Australia’s emerging and mid-career performing artists by providing competitive residencies for performers and composers; facilitating essential opportunities for them to develop their careers and artistry.
Our vision is to foster the immense talent of Western Australia's emerging, early, and mid-career performing artists, empowering them to stage extraordinary musical performances; to create collaborative art that is excellent, innovative and diverse; art that empowers and enriches the cultural vibrancy of the Western Australian community.
The Perth Orchestra Project operates on Whadjuk Noongar boodjar, and we acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
