Perthes.org is committed to advocacy through education, awareness, and aid for children diagnosed with Perthes disease. Perthes is a rare pediatric condition involving osteonecrosis of the femoral head.
We offer curated and original content for Whole-Patient care throughout all stages of Perthes including community support for parents, caregivers, and adults who had Perthes. We can help a newly diagnosed patient find an orthopedic surgeon and prepare for the appointment. At Perthes.org a patient or caregiver can find the "Perthes Toolkit" with evidenced based information regarding PT, OT, Nutrition, Psychological Support, Schooling Information, and more. Financial aid is available to eligible children in the form of the Family Assistance Fund.
Perthes.org also recognizes the importance of research. We work closely with several organizations to advance the treatment and diagnosis of Perthes disease.
