Visiting Petra of Jordan during the day is unforgettable—but experiencing it at night is truly extraordinary. Petra by Night offers a unique guided walk through the ancient city, illuminated by over 1,500 candles and brought to life with immersive projection mapping and artistic light effects. The experience begins at 8:30 PM from the Petra Visitor Centre, every Sunday to Thursday, and invites guests to walk in silence through the Siq, lit only by candlelight. This peaceful journey builds anticipation as you approach Petra’s most iconic monument. At the Treasury, the atmosphere deepens with the soft sounds of traditional Bedouin music and a storytelling session about Petra’s Nabataean heritage. The experience is now enhanced with state-of-the-art projection mapping, casting visuals onto the Treasury’s façade to vividly illustrate Petra’s history and culture in a way that feels both ancient and modern. The evening concludes around 10:30 PM with a guided return walk—leaving you with a sense of wonder and deep connection to this timeless place.
