Pets in Turkey Animal Rescue

Pets in Turkey is a non-profit animal rescue organization, which rehabilitates dogs and cats, saves them from cruelty and aims at providing them with safe, loving homes. Pets in Turkey rescues abandoned pets, stray dogs and cats from the shelters and the streets of Turkey. By neutering all rescues, Pets in Turkey help control overpopulation. Pets in Turkey is a charity, which finances itself entirely through donations, membership-fees, as well as adoption fees. It is led by animal and nature-loving people living in Switzerland, with close ties to Turkey. By providing whatever is needed to our dogs and cats, we restore them to good health and acceptable behavior. We treat every dog and cat we save as we would our own and hope to inspire pet lovers around the world to adopt rather than shop. Animal protection laws are not on the side of animals yet; although the laws clearly state that the local municipalities are responsible for neutering and caring for strays the reality is far from it. Instead, they are left sick, injured, hungry and thirsty in awful living conditions in shelters that are substandard; basically, they are left to die. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
