Faculty of Law, Charles University

The Faculty of Law is among the four oldest Charles University Faculties. A long tradition of legal education fills us not only with pride but – above all – with a responsibility for high standards in current scientific and pedagogical work and the development of legal culture. With more than 4500 students, the Faculty of Law is the largest accredited law faculty in the country. It has a full accreditation for Magister and Doctor Programmes in the Czech language. The accreditation in English is nowadays valid for Magister study programme only. Many of Law Faculty alumni hold prominent positions in justice, in central and regional administration, in the Foreign Office, in the public service as well as in advocacy and private businesses.
