PG owns 10% of the total overall golf ball market. That is close to twice as many golf balls as Bridgestone or TaylorMade. The rest of the Used Golf Ball industry sell close to 50 million golf balls a year. The used golf ball industry represents close to 20% of all the golf balls sold in the United States market. Tests show little to no difference in how far used balls fly compared to New. PG sorts all damaged golf balls out accordingly and these are repackaged as practice balls. The numbers prove that the used golf ball business is a highly profitable incremental business that provides a reason for customers to come back to the location they are being sold at.
