Developing a server-side language that produces dynamic web pages taking advantage of the open-source PosgreSQL database functionality, such as: PL/pgSQL, native SQL query compilation, implicit cursors, minimising data marshalling and transformation. Adaptive Server Pages for Postgres does not rely on CGI (common gateway interface used by the likes of PHP, Perl, Ruby) or a virtual machine (the concept used by ASP.NET and JSP).
