PGRacing Team

PGRacing Team is a group of students from Gdansk University of Technology, operating as part of the scientific club "Mechanik". The activity of the team began in the second half of 2014 at the initiative of a group of students from the the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. During these less than 8 years, 5 generations of vehicles were created in the team's workshop! Our main goal is to design and build with our own hands a real racing car, which will take part in the most prestigious student automotive competition in the world – Formula Student. Participation in the competition is the culmination of the work of the entire team, as well as an opportunity to meet other teams that share the same passion. For us, building a car means, above all, new experiences, skills and developing work discipline, at the same time enjoying it. However, we do not forget about the friendships that were born between the members of our team, as well as the partners supporting us. Formula Student is a worldwide competition series for academic teams. Each year, more than 120 teams that have designed and built their own car participate in the competition, which takes place in several countries around the world. Participation in Formula Student is not just about the race. Competitions are divided into static and dynamic ones. This variety gives every team a chance to win, regardless of experience. Teams that take part in Formula Student prepare for at least a year, conducting design and construction works and establishing cooperation with various partners.
