PharmaHacks

PharmaHacks (formerly StudentPharma) is a student-led non-profit organization created by McGill University undergraduates. Our mission is to provide interested students with bioinformatics/cheminformatics training through extracurricular means to prepare them for future jobs in industry, academia, and government. We host a self-titled annual hackathon focusing on tackling problems in the pharmaceutical industry, ranging from target identification to product delivery. Past sponsors include Pfizer, Novartis, InVivo AI, Boehringer Ingelheim, and IQVIA. During these events, students have an opportunity to network with professionals, while organizations can recruit talented individuals. Since its creation in May of 2018, members of PharmaHacks have contributed many outstanding ideas in the fields of in-silico drug discovery, protein imaging, and 3D printing.
