HOMELESS doesn’t mean HOPELESS. We can say it louder for the people in the back if you can’t hear us. There are too many negative stigmas that surround homelessness and we are here to break them.
Pheed Philly is a small, grassroots 501(c)(3) Non-Profit that assembles and distributes care packages “guerilla style” to the homeless living on the streets in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.
Born of a desire to give back to the community and aid those in desperate need, Co-Founders Francine Abel & Sarah Magazzo have successfully run multiple care package distribution events since coming together in January 2018. Each care package is stuffed full with living essentials, sanitary products, accessories, food and water. We strive to provide as much comfort in each bag as possible and make sure every recipient knows they have not been forgotten and there are people who care and want to help.
Through supporting the under-served homeless population of Philadelphia, Pheed Philly’s mission is to gain a better understanding of the many underlying causes of homelessness and the individual struggles it creates. This knowledge will help us to better advocate for those who have been affected by homelessness and work toward finding real-world solutions.
