Phenotypica was founded in 2016 by data scientist Ben Murray and artist Neus Torres Tamarit as an initiative exploring the intersection of art, science, technology, and artificial intelligence through public engagement projects. Their work examines how artworks about science interact with both their subject matter and audience, as well as how accurately they convey scientific concepts.
Phenotypica has since expanded with the launch of the Design Studio, managed by Neus Torres Tamarit. Specializing in the life sciences and tech industries, the studio focuses on brand identity design, visual strategy, marketing collateral design, brand awareness campaigns, and multimedia production, including video production and animation, overseeing projects from concept to completion.
