Phi-Power designs and builds high performance axial flux motors. Phi-Power technology allows our motors to perform without complicated liquid cooling requirements and still attain class leading power and torque densities (>9 kW/kg, > 18 Nm/kg). The topology allows for easy integration into powertrains or mounting on IC engines as the integrated cooling system shields the motor from engine or gearbox heat sources. The short build length makes for a prime solution in range extender and mobile power generation applications. The motors can be sealed up to IP 6k9k without performance reduction and can also be supplied as through shaft machines. The current motor range starts 30 kW up to 600 kW with machines offering more than 1200 Nm shaft torque. The simple inverter control requirements allow Phi-Power motors to partner with most inverters and avoid the need for very high switching frequencies. We can also offer bespoke motor development and powertrain integration, building on the expertise of our engineering team.
