Founded in 2007, Philistine initially established itself in Toronto’s west side as a vintage purveyor at local flea markets and pop-ups. In September 2010, we took the plunge and opened our first brick and mortar in the heart of the Parkdale neighbourhood. After a few years growing the business and incorporating new clothing and lifestyle items, we made the move to our current space at 928 Queen Street West. Though we’ve grown and changed over the years, our goal has always been the same: to provide stylish and well made clothing and goods to our community and beyond. We feel we fill a gap in Toronto’s retail scene — bridging classic, timeless style with fun and functional pieces. Now, after 10 years in the biz, our roster includes over 60 affordable and premium brands. We are proud to represent some of the best lines around. It’s full steam ahead in 2022 as we expand our very own in-house line, bring our web presence to the next level and embark on opening our second storefront in Toronto’s east end.
