PHISEC Racing

PHISEC Racing, representing the Polytechnic University of Coimbra and operating from the Coimbra Institute of Engineering, was founded in 2006 in Coimbra, Portugal. Our team takes great pride in handling as much as possible internally, creating a hands-on learning environment where students can apply classroom knowledge and develop practical skills. Our ultimate aim is to produce capable, experienced, and industry-ready engineers and managers. Our team has participated in the FSUK competitions, starting with Class 3 in 2007 and moving to Class 1 in 2008 and Class 1/200 in 2009. After a period of dormancy, we reignited our passion for innovation in 2022, shifting our focus to electric prototypes. Since then, we have been committed to establishing PHISEC Racing as a consistent Formula Student team, achieving 3rd place overall in Class 2 at FSPT 23 and 2nd place overall in Class 2 at FSPT 24. As we continue to grow and evolve, our long-term goal is to ensure that PHISEC Racing remains a hub for future engineering talent, providing a strong foundation for the next generation of engineers and managers.
