The Phoenix Rising Network was born from the passion of our community, guided by thoughtful choices and sparked by unexpected discoveries. Together, these forces have brought to life an organization devoted to telling the true African American history of St. Augustine, Florida. Through the creation of a museum, we shine a light on stories too often left untold—stories of resilience, creativity, struggle, and triumph. Our mission is grounded in the preservation, presentation, celebration, education, and interpretation of African American art, history, culture, and the vital relationships that shape them.
