Our business is carried out through three divisions: Phoenix Agrifoods, Phoenix Distribution and Phoenix Resources. Phoenix Agrifoods is engaged across the food value chain ranging from production to retail distribution. Our key product groups are Rice, Basmati Rice, Pulses & Specialty Crops, Sugar, Wheat and Fresh Produce. We enjoy market leadership positions in Rice distribution and branding in Africa and are one of the largest originators of Pulses & Specialty Crops from the CIS countries, bolstered by strategic brand development and distribution across Middle East and Africa. The farming activities spread across 6 countries cultivating 100,000Ha is focused on grains, oilseeds, fresh fruit, and vegetables. We create value through sustainable farming, thus evidencing our commitment to traceability, social development, local employment and the environment. Phoenix Distribution has built a portfolio of Rice and Premium Rice brands in the growth markets in East and West Africa by extending our presence in the wholesale market into retail. We manage brand building and direct distribution of a portfolio of food and non-food brands in the UAE and extend their reach to strategic GCC markets, with plans to expand into North Africa. Phoenix Resources commands annual volumes of 6Mn MTs across our core portfolio: Energy (Steam Coal), Ferrous & Non-Ferrous minerals.
