Phoensight

Phoensight is an international consultancy dedicated to tending to the relationships between people and technology, and is certified by the International Bateson Institute to host and conduct Warm Data Labs. We are passionate about public policy, society and technology. Specialising in Open Government, Open Data, Economics and Public Policy, Phoensight contributes new ideas and innovative thinking to empower citizens to participate with governments in creating better societies. Some examples of our work include ‘Government Open Data: Tales from a deep dive into CKAN’ at the international Strata + Hadoop World 2006 conference (Singapore), ‘Evaluating Government Policies using Open Source Models’ and ‘Why we need an open model to design and evaluate public policy’, which was listed as one of the top articles for Opensource.com in 2017. Phoensight has a deep respect for people and communities, and is committed to supporting diversity and inclusion. Phoensight also acknowledges the Traditional Owners upon whose ancestral lands we live and work, and pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging. ‘The Phoensight Foundation’ is a not-for-profit that supports charities and other not-for-profits using bespoke data solutions for social good.
