The PHP Group is a leading group in the country engaged in manufacturing of CR Coil / Sheets having its production facilities near Chittagong 25kms on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. CR coils of the company is already established in the market and enjoying a premium over competitors and preferred by end users over imported CR coils. Considering the expanding market demand of quality Cold Rolled Steel Strip (CR Coil) both in coil and sheet form as a main raw material for Galvanizing industry and of CRCA Coils for manufacturing of Drums & Barrels along with other engineering and automobile applications. In addition to domestic demand, very high potential to International market, PHP Group has set up an another project, consisting of 6 Hi reversing combined cold rolling mill with skin passing facilities. Batch annealing furnaces and slitting lines etc. at the same factory site, to manufacture high quality CR Coils & CRCA Sheets as a import substitute under their expansion programm under the new company, PHP Steels Ltd. The entire production of CRCA Strip shall be sold in the local market. The CRCA Strips are mainly used in applications involving severe Cold Working like engineering and automobile industry. The main consumption of CRCA Strip in Bangladesh is for manufacturing of Drums and Barrels. The CR coils produced are part ly consumed in another sister concern and balance quantity shall be sold to local Galvanisers and Export to International market.
