PHRONESIM is a private limited company founded in 2019 by Andy Richardson to provide Independent Consulting Services to help organisations maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of their Engineering Simulation and Modelling capabilities. We provide the following services: - Strategy Development and Implementation - Maturity Assessment - Training and Coaching - Capability Development - Organisation and People Development PHRONESIM was founded by Andy Richardson, who is a Fellow of the IMechE with over 30 years of experience in Automotive and Aerospace engineering including 20 years as a Senior Manager, 10 years of which was as Head of Engineering Simulation. The PHRONESIM Mission: To help businesses and organisations to achieve the full potential of their engineering modelling and simulation by addressing ALL the elements necessary to ensure an effective and efficient capability. The name PHRONESIM was inspired by recollection of a school philosophy lesson examining the meaning of the ancient Greek word PHRONESIS which can be translated as; “Wisdom in determining ends and the means of attaining them, practical understanding, sound judgment.” This seemed a great fit to our company values and mission, hence PHRONESIM represents the application of the principals of PHRONESIS to the world of Engineering SIMULATION.
