Pigsar™

pigsar™ is one of the leading high-pressure gas meter test facilities worldwide. In cooperation with the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), pigsar™ operates the national standard of Germany for high-pressure natural gas measurement. Additionally, pigsar™ embodies the common, harmonized European reference level (EUREGA) as the starting point of the German calibration chain and exclusively passes this on to all subordinate test stands and customer gas meters. All meters are tested in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, the type approval certificate and the customer’s specifications and requirements. Tests are performed with the maximum possible accuracy and utmost care be it according to German weights and measures law, the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), ISO/IEC 17025 or according to specific standards such as ISO 17089 or AGA9 (USM). pigsar™ has been accredited by DAkkS (Germany’s national accreditation body) according to ISO/IEC 17025 for the measurands "volumetric flow" and "mass flow" and is a state-approved GNW 45 test facility.
