About Pillar Benefiting THON

Pillar is a close knit student group founded in 2008 with the mission to raise funds for Penn State THON and support our Four Diamonds families; the Mahers and the Paynes. THON is a year-long effort that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world and since 1977, THON has contributed more than $114 million to The Four Diamonds. Last year alone, the students of Penn State Dance Marathon raised $10.15 million for children with cancer. The mission of the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is to conquer pediatric cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of The Four Diamonds Fund.
