The Interinstitutional Graduate Program in Statistics (PIPGEs) at UFSCar-USP was established in 2013 as a collaboration between the probability and statistics research groups of the Department of Statistics at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC-USP), University of São Paulo.
PIPGEs aims to train researchers with strong expertise in modeling, describing, estimating, and predicting random phenomena, with applications across various fields, including industry, medicine, and biology. The program offers Master of Science and PhD degrees and fosters a dynamic research environment through regular seminars, the biannual Workshop on Probabilistic and Statistical Methods, and the Summer Program in Statistics.
