Founded in 2012 by producer Miljenka Čogelja and documentary film director Đuro Gavran, Pipser is a company dedicated to bold storytelling, addressing social issues, and nurturing emerging talent. Pipser's breakthrough came with the international success of Safe Place (2022), Juraj Lerotić’s debut feature, which premiered and won multiple awards at the Locarno Film Festival. The film has been screened at 74 festivals, earning 52 awards, and was nominated for European Discovery at the European Film Awards and Best International Film at the Goya Awards 2024. Among other projects, Pipser also produced the award-winning documentary One of Us and the documentary series Good Economy by Đuro Gavran. Pipser’s diverse slate includes feature fiction and documentary films, documentary series, and hybrid forms, with a focus on international co-productions, original TV formats, and innovative ideas.
