The Piston can be regarded as one of the most valuable parts of the internal combustion engine, with every movement, up and down, eventually producing energy that is translated at the wheels of a motor vehicle. That is, the Piston is the Engine Room. That’s why we’re known as Piston Labs. Piston Labs seeks to be the engine room behind the next generation of space-enabled technologies that will disrupt the way the world operates today, specifically through the use of robotic, remote and autonomous platforms. These robotic, remote and autonomous platforms exist in a wide array of sorts, ranging from those used in terrestrial applications through to those that are literally out of this world. But they are constrained by a number of different factors, one of which is the notion of 'single-use-case'. Cracking this means opening up a new realm of 'multi-use-case' robotics. Unlocking this, is our core value proposition. As we seek to explore the deeper depths of our #oceans, minimise (or eliminate) harm to humans on #land or pursuing #terrestrial applications, or even explore the unknown-ness of #space, robotics becomes a critical capability for Australia, the world and our universe.
