Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry and Technology Development Center (PITDC)

PITDC is a non-profit organization established by the Industrial Development Bureau, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan. The main aim is to the support the development and internationalization of the domestic pharmaceutical and technology industries. Our center has a lab for R&D in both formulation and manufacturing process development. In recent years our department started to focus on the internationalization of Taiwanese pharmaceutical products and eventually established the Taiwan Pharmaceutical Alliance (TPA). The TPA members comprise the largest Taiwanese pharmaceutical manufacturers of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and Finished Dosage Forms (FDF), and most of them have successfully set up the product markets in ASEAN, South America, Japan, US or EU regions. Taiwan is one of the country members of PIC/S and ICH and all of our facilities are PIC/S GMP certified. Some of them have passed the inspection and obtained certification from the USFDA, Japan or EU authorities. In summary, PITDC acts as a matchmaker that helps fulfilling the global pharmaceutical market demands with the abundant resources and new technologies from the Taiwanese manufacturers. We have invested and carried out a tonnes of global pharmaceutical market studies, which resulted in a wide array of potential drug candidates in our strategies that can enter and perform very well in global drug markets.
