Plásticos Industriales de Tampico, S.A. de C.V. (PITSA) At your service since 1965, PITSA has been a pioneer in Mexico’s reinforced plastic (FRP) industry. We introduced the country’s first filament winding technology through a franchise with Justin Enterprises Inc. (later Tankinetics Inc.), a U.S. leader in FRP tank manufacturing. In 1980, we expanded our capabilities by acquiring advanced European technology from Casals Cardona Ind., allowing us to work with thermoplastics like PVC, PE, PVDF, and PP. These materials, combined with traditional FRP in dual-laminate construction, helped us offer more solutions for corrosion-resistant equipment. Today, PITSA is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom FRP equipment including tanks, piping, ducts, fans, stacks, hoods, valves, and grating. We use filament winding and hand lay-up processes, applying finite element analysis (FEA) to engineer for pressure, seismic activity, wind loads, and more — ensuring every product performs under real-world demands. We work closely with partners like Ashland, AOC, and Owens Corning to stay ahead in materials and process innovation. Our compression-molded FRP grating is known for its strength and durability, and our evolving dual-laminate systems are tailored for harsh, corrosive environments.
