The mission of Staff Council is to represent the interests of and advocate for all staff at the University of Pittsburgh as well as provide opportunities for comprehensive professional development.
The Staff Council was established in 1970 to represent the University of Pittsburgh staff (excluding those covered by a collective bargaining agreement). It has represented staff on various issues including salary, medical benefits, parking, and vacation throughout the years.
