The Retail Industry supports 1 in every 4 jobs around the world. In the US alone +30M workers are directly involved in retail and sadly more then 10% are still unemployed due to the global pandemic.
Often retail workers are the most vulnerable labor force when uncertainty arises. Workers often lack transferable skills or an education to pivot or easily adjust their circumstances positively. Further the retail industry doesn’t have a great reputation. We seek to change the retail status quo.
Pivot is a foundation started to help anyone who wants to change the direction of their professional life. Targeting those who work in the retail and hospitality industry, we aim to build meaningful skills for front line workers broadening their capabilities. Pivot hopes to widen perspectives, helping workers find careers they didn’t think were possible before. We seek to inspire individuals to believe deeper in themselves and support their growth and professional development through connection and easy to access and free marketable skill building services.
