P J Davidson (PJD) was founded in 1981 by Peter Davidson, specialising in slipforming concrete products on the UK highway network. Since then, PJD has continued to develop into the UK’s leading concrete slipforming sub-contractor, with a proud history of innovation and providing project value, which Peter is still involved with to this day.
Driven by a determination to offer improved safety, and better client value over the established alternatives, PJD has developed and gained approval for their own unique concrete vehicle restraint barrier - the DCB (Davidson’s Concrete Barrier). This has been installed on the UK highway network since 2017, with over 10,000km laid to date.
As well as our concrete barrier, we specialise in the construction of slipform concrete drainage products, slipform tunnel concrete and pavement quality concrete for highways, car parks and airfields.
With our own fleet of paving machines and concrete batching plants, we are able to offer a client focussed flexibility in terms of our services. As well as increasing reliability of outputs, this approach also adds to a project’s social value due to the increased employment opportunities and reduced traffic on local infrastructure.
