PLACE IDENTITY NGO

PLACE IDENTITY -GR CLUSTERS is an NGO located in Athens, Greece, which designs and implements Social and Political Innovation projects at neighborhood,city,regional and national level, focusing on Citizens’ Participation. Key activities of PI include the regeneration of degraded public spaces through cross-sector partnerships and active citizens’ engagement, innovation labs for the development of prototype participatory decision making processes for local and national governance, trainings in Participatory Leadership and Design, as well as a series of related cultural and educational events. PI is a member of the “Actors of Urban Change” Network and recently part of the EEA grants programme “We are all citizens”. In all its projects, PI acts as a catalyst for the development of clusters, engaging local authorities (eg. City of Athens), private companies (eg. Cosmote), academic institutions (eg. University of Thessaly) and other NPOs. All PI activities aim at reinventing Democracy and the role of the Citizen in the new era.
