Placement Counsel

Selina Farrell is Placement Counsel’s founder, managing attorney, and lead placement specialist. She graduated summa cum laude with her juris doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and then practiced for several years at Latham & Watkins as a corporate tax attorney. More recently, she worked as an Associate Dean and Legal Writing Professor at Pepperdine University School of Law. She also managed the law school’s Career Development Office for over a decade. In that capacity, she built strong relationships with law firms and corporate legal departments across the country, as she helped these employers with recruiting and hiring talented law students and alumni. Selina founded Placement Counsel in 2022 in order to launch a full-service, employer- and candidate-centric placement firm that provides highly individualized recruiting and placement services to first-rate legal employers and talented candidates who are hand-picked for their potential fit.
