Career Development & Placement Cell, IIT Ropar

IIT Ropar was established in the year 2008 with an aim to produce world class engineers who would establish themselves in the higher echelons of any field they venture into. It began with offering B.Tech. in three mainstream engineering disciplines, namely, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering and now offers more than 17 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The IIT Ropar campus spread over 525 acres and located in Rupnagar (Punjab) around 45 km from Chandigarh. The institute has been ranked among the best technical institutes in the country over the years with a ranking of 22nd in Engineering Category in the NIRF 2023 rankings. More than ten batches have graduated from the institute and they are pursuing myriad of careers in the industry, civil services, and academia. The Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC), IIT Ropar, provides students with the necessary guidance and support with finding the right career for them.
