Planning Schools Forum

The Planning Schools Forum (PSF) provides a collective voice for the community of planning schools, both accredited and not, and promotes the values of planning education, regarding teaching and research, as collectively agreed by PSF members. We act as a lobbying organisation to argue for the importance of high-quality planning education and related issues. We manage the annual UK-Ireland Planning Research Conference, deciding where it shall be held and what the focus of each year’s conference should be. The PSF represents all planning schools accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) but is independent of the RTPI. Non-accredited planning schools are welcome to join if they wish to. The Planning Schools Forum LinkedIn page exists to enable dialogue amongst members, and to provide an opportunity to promote Planning education and research more widely by sharing information and ideas with practitioners and academics who are not members of PSF. In the spirit of spatial planning, this LinkedIn page shares the values of constructive collaboration, cooperation and communication that is the hallmark of a vibrant and positive academic community.
