It is the mission of our orchestra to inspire, educate, entertain and involve the children, youth and adults of our community in the enjoyment of great music.
Founded in 1983, the Plano Symphony Orchestra is one of the preeminent arts organizations in Collin County. With 8 regular series concerts, 9 family series concerts, and 4th grade concerts for over 12,000 students a year, the Orchestra reaches approximately 20,000 people each year through educational outreach and orchestral performances, with 75% of these people being children.
The Plano Symphony Orchestra performs its main series concerts at the Eisemann Center in Richardson & St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. The Family Series Concerts are performed at the Frisco Discovery Center and Courtyard Theatre in downtown Plano.
