The National Platform of Civil Society Organizations of Cameroon (PLANOSCAM) is a coalition of organizations working to defend and promote human rights, as well as to encourage citizen participation in development and governance processes in Cameroon. Established to strengthen the role of civil society, PLANOSCAM is dedicated to mobilizing geographical, thematic, and sectoral networks for broader and deeper citizen engagement. Our Commitment: PLANOSCAM is committed to: - Facilitating ongoing dialogue between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the government, Parliament, the private sector, and technical and financial partners. - Building and maintaining strong coalitions to advocate for citizens' rights and interests. - Promoting citizen participation and democratic dialogue at all decision-making levels. - Influencing public policies for inclusive, sustainable, and equitable development. Our Vision: Looking towards our country's emergence, we envision a Cameroon where civil society is fully engaged in citizen oversight of public action, recognized as a fully-fledged and effective development actor in protecting human rights, promoting good governance, social justice, and sustainable development. Our Values: The values of PLANOSCAM are summarized in the acronym "INSPIRE": - Integrity: Acting with transparency and honesty. - New Approach: Encouraging creative and innovative solutions. - Solidarity: Strengthening cohesion among CSOs and with communities. - Participation: Promoting active engagement of citizens. - Inclusion: Ensuring that all voices are heard, especially those of marginalized groups. - Responsibility: Being accountable to our members and partners. - Commitment: Dedicating our efforts to achieving our vision.
